Makeup that holds up under the lights

Campaigns, e-commerce, editorial, and content days.

Commercial work asks different things of makeup than a private appointment does. It has to read correctly on camera, survive a full day under hot lights, and look identical in the last frame as it did in the first. That is what this service is built around.

Rates

Every shoot is quoted on its own terms

No two call sheets look the same, so a flat rate would either overcharge a small shoot or undercut a big one. Here is what shapes the number.

01

Shoot length

Half day, full day, or multi-day. Most commercial bookings run as a full day.

02

Cast and looks

One model with one look is a very different day to eight models with three changes each. Cast size and look count are usually the biggest factor.

03

Location and call time

Studio, on location, or travelling. Early call times and regional or interstate shoots are factored in.

04

Team

Larger casts and tight turnarounds may need a second artist. If they do, that is quoted upfront, never added afterwards.

Send through your brief, call sheet, or even a rough outline and you will get a clear quote back with nothing hidden in it.
How It Runs

From brief to final frame

01

The brief

Send the concept, moodboard, call sheet, or whatever you have so far. You will get a quote and availability back shortly.

02

Look development

Once the date is locked, the looks are planned against your references, your talent, and the lighting you are shooting under. Nothing gets improvised on the morning.

03

Shoot day

Arrival ahead of first call, looks built to schedule, and touch-ups held for the full shoot so the last setup matches the first.

Good to Know

A few things to know

Do you travel for shoots?

Yes. Melbourne metro is standard, and regional, interstate, and international shoots are all possible. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately and agreed before anything is confirmed.

Can you cover a large cast?

Yes. For bigger casts or tight schedules, additional artists are brought in and quoted as part of the booking, so the timing on the day is never the thing that slips.

Do you do hair as well?

Hair can be arranged alongside makeup and quoted as part of the same booking. Let me know what the brief calls for when you enquire.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as you can, particularly for multi-day shoots or peak season. That said, short-notice bookings are worth asking about, dates do open up.

Can we do a test shoot first?

Yes, and for campaign work it is often worth it. A camera test confirms how the look reads under your specific lighting before the day itself.

What do you need from us before the shoot?

A call sheet or rough schedule, the moodboard or references, the number of talent and looks, and the location. That is usually enough to quote accurately.

How do bookings and payment work?

Enquiries and quotes go through the Creative Directory profile, and everything is confirmed in writing before the date is held.

Have a shoot coming up?
